Monaco E-Prıx: Ds Automobıles Set To Shıne On The Streets Of The Prıncıpalıty
After Misano, the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship continues its European tour at the legendary 3.3-kilometre Monaco circuit, which will host the 22 drivers competing in the all-electric series on April 27.
DS Automobiles and its partner PENSKE AUTOSPORT will field a unique car for round eight of Season 10 (the seventh race to be held in Monaco): the DS E-TENSE FE23 ‘Grand Gala’. This special livery pays homage to the glittering gala evenings for which Monaco is famous.
DS PENSKE is currently fifth in the teams’ championship and focussed on its clear objective to get back among the series leaders. To reach this target, the team can rely on the talents of Frenchman Jean-Eric Vergne – a two-time Formula E champion and the winner of the 2019 Monaco E-Prix – as well as his Belgian team mate Stoffel Vandoorne: the 2022 champion, who won the Monaco race in the same year.
The DS E-TENSE FE23 ‘Grand Gala’ developed by DS Performance is undoubtedly set to be a highlight of this star-studded race, which is always one of the most important rounds of the season.
The Monaco E-Prix takes place on Saturday 27 April at 15:00 CET.
Eugenio Franzetti, DS Performance director:
“And here we are in Monaco shortly! For DS Performance, this is undoubtedly the most important appointment of the year as it’s something of a home event. At this seventh Monaco race in the history of Formula E we’re paying tribute to the most emblematic venue on the calendar with a unique livery: our DS E-TENSE FE23 Grand Gala. Our all-black car with gold logos is a nod to the glamorous evening gala events that are synonymous with Monaco, and we hope the fans will love this new look. But it’s not just all about outward style. The car has been particularly competitive in qualifying recently and should stand out on Saturday once more thanks to the talents of our two drivers. In any case, we’re going to do everything we can to perform as strongly as possible in Monaco!”
