Karsan Electrifies the Public Transport of North America
Karsan, which offers high-tech mobility solutions with the vision of being “One Step Ahead in the Future of Mobility”, had determined North America as its other target market after Europe. In this context, Karsan entered the Canadian market at the beginning of the year through Damera, its distributor. Karsan, this time, has also reached an agreement with its business partner for the American market. Stating that they maintain global cooperation, Karsan CEO Okan Baş said, “In this context, we rapidly and ambitiously entered the North American market at the beginning of the year, starting with Canada. We have recently initiated a distributorship agreement with Damera, our distributor in this market, for the United States.
Thanks to this agreement, we aim to achieve rapid growth in North America as we have done in Europe. In line with our vision of ‘being one step ahead in the future of mobility’, it is time for the USA in our journey of electrifying public transport in the world. Today, we have 30 e-JEST buses serving locals in Saint John, Oakville, and Happy Valley in Canada. With this agreement inked for the US market after Canada, our electric e-JEST vehicle park in North America will reach one hundred units by the end of the year with the new deliveries we will make.”
