Jema Energy to Provide Over 150 Chargers

Jema Energy is going to supply over 150 chargers in Paris for RATP e-bus fleet. From 2023, the operator will install Jema Energy chargers to meet the goals of the BUS2025 programme. Another player awarded a big contract in Paris has been the Poland-based Ekoenergetyka. RATP has just recalled part of its e-bus fleet due to fire episodes.

In the framework of BUS2025 project, Oblibus, a financing package offered by Banque des Territoires in partnership with the European Investment Bank, is supporting Île-de-France Mobilités and the RATP with €23 million for the acquisition of 100% electric buses and charging infrastructure.

Jema Energy (part of the Irizar group) will participate in the European Mobility Expo (stand D32 in hall 4) to present the details of this project, as well as other solutions and success stories in electromobility for heavy vehicles.

Jema Energy awarded contract in Paris

The partnership between Jema Energy and RATP will start with the delivery of 5 pre-series units. The supplier will adapt the equipment to RATP’s own requirements, dedicating 3 versions of chargers for various deployments in its depots.

The BUS2025 plan aims to electrify the French capital’s bus depots by renewing the bus fleet to switch to electricity and biogas. This ambitious programme will radically transform its facilities and will be in line with Île-de-France Mobilités’s targets. It will eliminate diesel buses from its network and make the Ile-de-France region a world reference in urban public transport.
