IAA 2022, the new Trafic Van E-Tech Electric unveiled by Renault
Available as a cab-floor model, the electric version of the Trafic van has got storage volume ranging from 5.8 to 8.9 cubic metres, 90 kW motor and 1.1 ton loading capacity. At IAA, Renault also unveiled the Hippie Caviar Hotel, "as a response to the growing desire to escape into the great outdoors", as stated by the company.
IAA 2022, the new Trafic Van E-Tech Electric unveiled by Renault
The new Renault Trafic E-Tech Electric was unveiled by Renault during IAA 2022. It is the very first electric model of the best-selling van manufactured by the French Group. Available as a cab-floor model, the electric version of the Trafic van has got storage volume ranging from 5.8 to 8.9 cubic metres, 90 kW motor and 1.1 ton loading capacity.The 52 kWh battery ensures a range of 240 km according to the WLTP standard. As for battery charging, it’s possible to provide AC charging up to 22 kW, or rather DC fast charging up to 50 kW.
Renault, besides the Trafic E-Tech: a new show car
At IAA, Renault also unveiled the Hippie Caviar Hotel, “as a response to the growing desire to escape into the great outdoors”, as stated by the company. Built off the New Kangoo L2 E-Tech Electric, the converted can is a safe-haven on wheels, flexible and dynamic for adventurers and sports enthusiasts looking for excitement and wide open spaces. The 90kW (120 hp) motor runs off a 45kWh battery that can plug into 80 kW DC outlets.
The all-electric show car is perfectly in line with Renault’s strategy to reduce CO2 emissions over a vehicle’s entire life cycle, as evidenced through the use of recycled and recyclable materials, such as the cork and recycled tyres for the shelves and flooring.
